Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Consults with internal and external stakeholders to develop technical requirements for numerical control and manufacturing processes.

• Identifies equipment and approaches, ensures accommodation of numerical control programming, and resolves manufacturing or production process concerns.

• Manages implementation of new and revised computing applications for design, machining, or inspection systems.

• Trains and mentors others in automation and robotic programming.

• Applies knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, Fanuc robots, automation control systems, design, machining, and robot cell programming.

• Works with high-speed machining in a production environment.

• Reads, understands, and interprets engineering drawings.

• Uses CAD/CAM software including CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM, Robot Studio, and CENIT.

• Applies certification or training in automation or robotics.

• Works with 3D modeling for automation and robotic programming.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• AA degree in related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.

• Experience as machinist or robotics with shop floor programming skills.

• Experience in CAD/CAM software including CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM, Robot Studio, or CENIT.

• Certification or training in automation or robotics.

• Experience working in a production environment.

• Experience with 3D modeling.

• Knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, Fanuc robots, automation control systems, design, machining, and robot cell programming.
