Shipping Clerk

Our store is expanding its ECommerce business and we are in need of temporary Shipping Clerks to keep up with our online orders! Our Shipping Clerks will work in our fulfillment center and will be responsible for processing outbound shipments with precision while maintaining our high standards for speed and accuracy.

During the holiday season, our production volume increases significantly as we fulfill online orders and create specialty holiday products for all company locations, including Sleigh Baskets, Holiday Gift Baskets, Pretzel Platters, and Pretzel Gift Boxes. We're looking for dependable team members who are available to work shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM . Full-time availability is preferred, but we also welcome part-time candidates who can consistently work these hours throughout the holiday season.

Responsibilities

• Package items using proper materials and techniques to prevent damage during transit
• Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup
• Lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Will work directly with customers to resolve any and all order issues
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have 2 + years of shipping experience, preferably in a large retail food/beverage warehouse
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse management software
• Ability to repetitively lift, bend, reach, and move packages up to 50 pounds
• Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Reliable transportation to ensure punctual attendance
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English Language

Working Conditions

• Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
• May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.
• Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
• There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions.
