Staff Accountant
Location : Birmingham, AL (Onsite)

Our client is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day to day accounting functions of the organization and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting. The staff accountant will assist in month-end close duties, processing payables and receivables for payment accurately and on time. They are looking for an early career accountant who is looking to grow their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger and Month End Close: Assist with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Analytical review of financial statements.
• Assist with month-end and year end close activities.
• Assist with customer invoicing and monitor outstanding receivables.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Participate in process improvements an system updates.
• Support preparation of budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Strong communication and ability to interact with customers and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
