Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Hoover is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our nursing leadership team.

This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys being a clinical resource, developing staff, solving problems, and improving patient outcomes—but is ready to move beyond a traditional bedside schedule.

As a Unit Manager, you'll lead the daily clinical operations of your assigned unit while remaining connected to patients, families, and your nursing team.

‍⚕️ WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of your assigned unit

• Lead, supervise, coach, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

• Conduct regular patient rounds and monitor quality of care

• Assess changes in patient condition and ensure appropriate follow-up

• Ensure physician orders are carried out accurately and timely

• Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness

• Support individualized care planning and interdisciplinary coordination

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the care team

• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

• Promote infection prevention and regulatory compliance

• Help develop staff through coaching, education, and accountability

• Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence on the unit

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

• Previous nursing experience required

• Leadership, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Unit Manager, or Nurse Manager experience preferred

• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute, or geriatric nursing experience preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff

• Strong understanding of clinical documentation and care planning

• Dependable, professional, and committed to exceptional patient care
