Delivery Specialist

Overview O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate company vehicles, deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers, and collect payments on C.O.D. deliveries. The role involves maintaining vehicles, using handheld devices, and ensuring safety and efficiency across all delivery activities. Responsibilities Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use handheld fleet‑management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean, well‑maintained, and conduct daily pre‑operation inspections. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected monies at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips. Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management and report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately. Ensure fuel is topped off, lock, and secure vehicles at the end of the day. Clock in/out in accordance with company policy and perform other duties as assigned (customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands). Qualifications Valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record meeting the company’s 14‑point/18‑point system. Ability to match alphanumeric sequences quickly and accurately. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptability to changing delivery situations. Strong phone and customer‑service skills, including the ability to operate other light store equipment. Knowledge or familiarity with automotive parts is desired. Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.
