Pediatric Emergency Medicine Opportunity - Des Moines, Iowa Position Details

• Staff the Pediatric Emergency Department with 1,392 shift hours annually (primarily 8-hour shifts)
• 28,000+ pediatric patient visits per year
• Certified Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Fully dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department with Pediatric Transport
• 24/7 Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) coverage with 29 shift hours of double and triple coverage
• Primary pediatric teaching site for pediatric and family practice residents and medical students
• Full integration with EPIC electronic health records
Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment
• Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate care for pediatric emergency patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement in patient outcomes and department performance
Candidate Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure
• Current DEA and state authority to prescribe
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1B cap exempt)
