Senior Subsea Commissioning Engineer – Wood Consulting Wood is recruiting for a Senior Subsea Commissioning Engineer to join its Consulting business. This opportunity is Hybrid. The Role Wood is looking for a Senior Subsea Commissioning Engineer in Houston, Texas. The role reports directly to the Subsea Commissioning Lead and will manage the subsea Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) pre‑commissioning scope and lead day‑to‑day execution of the EPCI progress. Responsibilities Review pre‑commissioning philosophies, procedures and documentation developed by the installation contractor and pre‑commissioning subcontractor. Assign responsibilities and work packages to the junior Subsea Commissioning Engineer. Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, HIRA and offshore scope technical progression. Carry out site visits for fabrication or pre‑commissioning activities. Engage with stakeholders for safe and efficient execution of work scopes. Identify critical spares, consumables or components required for the campaign. Manage the subsea commissioning systemization schedule and prioritise work in conformance with handover requirements. Lead and develop knowledge for 20K Tree, Subsea Pump Station, and/or Subsea Pump Module systems. Confirm the project integrated plan includes all subsea requirements, aligned with Construction, Commissioning and Start‑up (CCSU) and start‑up targets. Manage, in conjunction with the Subsea Commissioning Lead, the project interface with Engineering, Subsea Construction, CCSU and Operations Quality resources. Qualifications Engineering degree from an accredited university. Certifications necessary for offshore operations. Experience with subsea construction, installation and/or pre‑commissioning. Experience with subsea equipment design, fabrication or testing. Experience managing EPCI, vendor or contractor relationships. Experience with direct personnel supervision or management. Preferred familiarity with subsea systems, including: Subsea pumping, such as barrier fluid and MV cable testing. 20K Subsea Trees. TFMC and/or OSS Controls Systems.
