In the role of Industrial Engineer Level II you'll play a pivotal part on our industrialization team. The Industrial Engineer 2 provides complex technical assistance to Cabin industrialization deliverables on programs as part of the integrated program team. Support for effective industrialization of each new program. Provide Industrial Engineering technical expertise and coordination during the development of aircraft interior components. Responsible for contributing to most cost effective methods to create products.This position contributes to our vision by:Project manage Cabin industrialization deliverables on new programs as part of the integrated program teamDevelop and execute Industrialization plans in accordance with Cabin standards and program goalsRepresent the industrialization team in customer and program meetings as requiredCreate the production element of the industrial dossier, mainly Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Routers, Standardized work instructions (including operation's allocated time)Work with the Design and Manufacturing teams to develop optimal production processes for each product typeCoordinate with Facilities to ensure that the necessary production floor space and support is allocated in conjunction with the required scheduleProvide feedback to Design group for DFMA (design for manufacture and assembly)Integrate plan for the design, manufacture and implementation of new tools or prototypes from the tooling engineering teams on the new programDevelop a detailed phasing schedule for implementation of new linesDevelop Cycle time and Takt Time standards and plans to achieve themMaintain industrialization metrics in line with Cabin standard KPI's and communicate performance on a regular basisAnalyze and manage industrial process and product risks during developmentChampion and implement Lean principlesLead and participate in Kaizen and 3P events to develop improvements and plansAdditional responsibilities include supporting Departmental and Personal Objectives/Measurements.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field. Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience in highly regulated engineering design or production environment. Computer Skills: Advanced understanding of ERP systems, Working knowledge of CATIA V5 & Smarteam, Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Other Skills: Experience working at an aircraft or other aerospace OEM, Significant knowledge of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry, Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and models, Use of LEAN tools like VSM and 5S, Proven organization and communication skills, Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally with minimal oversight. Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills, Working knowledge of primary processes like CNC machining, Layup and Crush Core, White Belt Trained.Additional Preferred Skills: Catia experience, Composites Manufacturing.Safran Cabin is #1 worldwide for business and regional aircraft interiors.
