Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector | Buffalo Grove, IL | Weekly Pay

We are seeking dedicated Quality Inspectors to join our team in a cleanroom environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and operational efficiency, working closely with the Quality Lead and Operational Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and executing quality objectives to maximize product quality and efficiency.
• Support and comply with company policies including cGMP, ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, and Continuous Improvement.
• Read and interpret part drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications and procedures.
• Analyze test data and make necessary computations to determine test results.
• Select and collect samples for testing or as models.
• Compare product attributes with standards to verify conformance.
• Review and approve lot documentation to ensure compliance.
• Reject products and materials not meeting specifications.
• Discuss inspection results and recommend corrective actions.
• Inspect and measure materials and products for conformance to specifications.
• Mark items with grade and acceptance or rejection status.
• Measure product dimensions using various instruments.
• Write nonconformance, rework instructions, and deviation reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the quality profession.
• Proficiency in using gauges, inspection fixtures, and leak testing equipment.
• Ability to use software productivity tools like Statistical Process Control.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stand for 75% of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in quality control and inspection in a production environment.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols.
• Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and document management.

Work Environment

The position is within a contract manufacturing environment, typically producing for the medical industry. Work is conducted in a cleanroom setting across multiple sites, including two buildings in Buffalo Grove and a new facility in Libertyville.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
