Location: Topeka, KS

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Varied 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Collect, process, and prepare clinical and forensic specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures
• Verify patient demographic information and obtain required documentation and signatures
• Ensure accurate specimen labeling and maintain compliance with established protocols
• Maintain required records and documentation with a high level of accuracy
• Provide exceptional customer service while creating a professional and reassuring environment for patients
• Travel between multiple patient service centers and physician office locations as needed to support staffing requirements
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
• Perform daily responsibilities accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Minimum of 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred
• Medical assistant, paramedic, or other medical training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Strong specimen collection, processing, and documentation skills
• Excellent customer service and patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
• Flexibility to travel between locations and adapt to changing staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime as needed
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
