Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. Collaborate with a close-knit team to support DHH students in a dedicated educational setting. This contract opportunity begins August 11th, 2026 and runs through May 28th, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll focus on delivering therapy to a diverse caseload of approximately 130 students across various age groups in Mesquite, TX.

Qualifications:

• Current Texas SLP license required
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) or possess DHHT certification
• Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing strongly preferred
• Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Must complete fingerprinting through TEA if not already on file with a public school
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide therapy services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in the DHH program
• Collaborate with two other SLPs; this position emphasizes direct therapy delivery
• Contribute to IEP planning, student assessments, and progress documentation
• Implement evidence-based therapy approaches tailored to individual student needs
• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve student goals
• Participate in ongoing professional development and district meetings as required
