Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)

Join our team in Griffin, GA as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer). You will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation. You must perform exams per department protocols, ensure patient identification and safety, maintain quality control and documentation, and assist other technologists and clinical staff as needed. You will respond to emergency situations, follow infection control practices, and support departmental operations including restocking, patient transport, and clerical duties when required. You must adhere to hospital policies and participate in mandatory education and quality improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Sonography Training Program.
• Minimum 1 year clinical sonography experience required. Additional experience preferred.
• ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT-S (ARRT Sonography) required upon hire.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire.
• Ability to operate ultrasound consoles and push/retrieve images to PACS and complete studies in RIS/PACS workflow.
• Demonstrated competence performing a wide variety of ultrasound exams across age groups and applying appropriate techniques and infection control practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with physicians, patients, families, and departmental staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree or certificate program preferred.
• Experience in a hospital radiology department preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights, Monday through Friday, 10:30 PM 7:00 AM.
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.
• May be required to take call as necessary.
