They smile, greet and thank customers, ring up items, process payments, and keep a positive attitude. They are first, last and sometimes the only associate a customer interacts with. Cashier Responsibilities Scan items, explain prices, and bag items properly. Count cash back and process payments accurately. Stand for long periods of time while checking out customers quickly. Keep the checkout area clean and presentable. Answer customer questions and help them with their needs. Assist associates across the store as needed. Cart and Janitorial Responsibilities Ensure customers have a great first and last impression. Gather carts from the parking lot and move them inside the store. Operate equipment to move carts and restock inside the store. Clean restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed. Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions.
