Work Hours: Monday- Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM Location: 26635 US Highway 380 E Aubrey, TX 76227 Primary Responsibilities: Interact with internal and external customers in a courteous manner in person and via telephone (approximately 200 calls/day) Complete check in and check out tasks Schedule new and existing patients Verify insurance and complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures Answer back-line telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns and take messages as needed. Sorting of documents received via facsimile and distribution of incoming postal mail Scanning of all patients' (demographic) paperwork to patient chart and assist with batch scan filing Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public Perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Work requires hand dexterity for computer, telephone and other office machine operation, stooping and bending for supplies, sitting for extended periods of time. Prolonged computer use may cause eyestrain Work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent telephone and consistent face-to-face contact with patients Work may be stressful at times Interaction with others is constant and interruptive Individuals may be required to travel to other locations for coverage as dictated by need Contact involves dealing with sick people You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED 1+ year of customer service Basic level of experience with MS Office Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of medical business office experience Experience with EMR computer applications Excellent customer service skills, computer skills Excellent CPT and ICD-9 coding skills General knowledge of medical terminology Familiarity with medical billing and collection procedures Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 to $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
