Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Springfield, IL. The ideal candidate will provide L2 application support for the WebSphere Commerce Suite platform, ensuring timely resolution of production incidents and optimal application performance.


Rate Range: $49/Hour to $53/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Provide L2 support for WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) applications, ensuring high availability and system reliability.
• Monitor application performance, investigate production incidents, and resolve issues within SLA timelines.
• Troubleshoot order processing, payment gateway, checkout, and product catalog-related issues.
• Manage scheduled jobs, batch processes, cache operations, and routine application maintenance activities.
• Analyze application logs, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, DBA, and vendor teams to support releases and resolve complex technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in application support, production support, or technical operations within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) 8.x or similar e-commerce platforms, with strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Working knowledge of databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server), Linux/Unix environments, and application performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or Dynatrace.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
