Veterinary Technician, Overnight Emergency & Critical Care Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (AVES) is hiring for Veterinary Technician positions in our new 45,000 sq. ft. state‑of‑the‑art hospital. We are looking for highly skilled, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented professionals passionate about delivering exceptional care in advanced veterinary medicine. Compensation Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT/RVT/CVT): $24+/hr (based on experience) Non‑Credentialed Technicians: $21+/hr (based on experience) Overnight Differential: +$2/hr Benefits 401(k) with matching Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) / Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life and Disability insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays Employee Assistance Program and discounts (including pet discount) Professional development and tuition assistance Uniform stipend Retirement plan Schedule Full Time Days: TBD 3x12 Hour Shifts: 6:00 pm – 7:00 am Job Description Patient Care and Assistance Restrain pets, prepare and administer medications, and assist in exams, procedures, and surgeries. Monitor anesthesia, provide supportive therapy, and teach clients how to administer treatments. Prepare patients for discharge and communicate status updates to the care team and clients. Record patient histories, treatments, and procedures accurately for invoicing and records. Complete necessary paperwork and maintain detailed progress notes. Schedule procedures, relay accurate information to clients, and seek help when needed. Additional Duties Perform laboratory procedures and collect/prep samples for analysis. Operate and maintain radiography units and diagnostic software. Maintain and report issues with medical equipment; restock and manage supplies. Clean and sterilize instruments, maintain hospital cleanliness, and assist with patient hygiene. Qualifications Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technicians with at least 3 years of experience, dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
