Job Responsibilities

• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to promote improvements in patients' motor abilities, cognitive skills, and daily functioning.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Join forces with OTs, PTs, STs, medical professionals, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive, well-rounded patient care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide instruction on therapy practices and methods for caregivers to bolster continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes rigorously and modify therapy approaches as necessary to ensure consistent patient advancement.

Educational Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Ongoing education and advanced certifications are highly respected and endorsed

Licensure and Certification

• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) state license required
• Certification from the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is a must
