Exciting opportunity for an experienced Math Teacher to inspire and support high school students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract position provides the chance to foster academic growth in a vibrant learning environment just outside of Ypsilanti, MI. Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan teaching certificate with a Math Endorsement (please ensure all current licenses/certifications are included when applying)
- Demonstrated background in teaching high school mathematics within a general education curriculum
- Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to learners of varying abilities
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proven record of fostering positive relationships with students and faculty
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and implement effective math lessons in alignment with curriculum standards for high school students
- Assess student understanding and adjust instructional methods to support individual learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to promote student achievement
- Maintain timely and accurate records of student progress, attendance, and reporting
- Support classroom culture that emphasizes respect, inclusivity, and academic growth
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and outreach as required
This position starts August 24, 2026 and continues through June 4, 2027, with full-time hours totaling 37.5 each week. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ academic journeys and personal development.
