HOME has also been recognized by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) with dozens of Awards of Merit and one Award of Excellence.Why join our team?Full benefits package – medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D & 401(k) matchDay one vacation vesting, plus 11 paid federal holidaysTypical work week – Monday – Friday, 8-5Amazing team & culture focused on: Communication | Community | WellnessFree Gym AccessEmployer paid parkingOther benefits & programs we offer:Tuition reimbursementHSA/FSAProven continued business growth for future opportunitiesPosition summary:The Development Accountant will primarily be responsible for reviewing budget and actual financial variances, forecasting, analyzing financial trends, month-end reporting, year-end reporting, annual financial reporting, in support of the Development Department.Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:Maintains the integrity of general ledger accounts through account reconciliations and analysis.Maintain predevelopment expenses and bill these at construction closingWork with the construction team and process pay apps for each projectPerforms a variety of administrative duties, accounting, analytical and budgeting activities in support of the Agency's accounting functions.Prepares and reviews monthly financial statements and consolidated financials, identifying cost overruns/discrepancies and recommends corrective action.Prepares all necessary monthly and assigned journal entries, to maintain and balance general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and trial balances.Reconcile all draw worksheet to the general ledgers every monthMay be responsible for preparing monthly draws for development projects.May be responsible for ensuring that all draws are filed timely and prepared to be audited at all times.May be responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations pre-paid development fee funds, as well as collect all advances.Performs inter-company reconciliations.Develops and reports metrics and key performance indicators resulting from monitoring and tracking budgets.Prepares cash flows and budgets.Provides excellent customer service internal and external customers.Partners with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges and implement Agency initiatives.Resolves and/or escalates issues from internal stakeholders and/or business partners.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with a diverse group ranging from Agency employees at all levels, residents, and the general public.Ensures proper internal controls are in place and consistently monitored.Other duties as assigned.Salary Description $84,000 - $87,500
