Hospice Volunteer

Harborside Hospice is seeking volunteers for patients in Southern NH, Essex/Middlesex County MA and Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth Counties.

Whether you have a few hours each month or several hours each week, your time can bring comfort, and compassion to those who need it.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Complete required hospice volunteer training

Pass a background check and meet onboarding requirements

No medical experience is required, just a caring heart and a willingness to make a difference.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Providing friendly companionship and conversation
• Reading, playing games, or listening to music with patients
• Offering respite visits so caregivers can take a short walk or run errands
• Making supportive phone calls
• Assisting with administrative or office projects
• Helping with community outreach and special events
• Supporting bereavement programs
