Neurologist – Neurohospitalist - Essex County, NJ Company: New Jersey Brain & Spine New Jersey Brain and Spine located in various locations throughout New Jersey is seeking a motivated and self-directed Neurologist – Neurohospitalist to join our growing team. We are seeking a physician whose responsibilities will primarily include inpatient neurology consults, hospital rounds, and management of neurologic conditions in the acute care setting. Additional outpatient follow-up management of select patients is required as well. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Job Responsibilities: Evaluate inpatient neurology consults and round on hospital patients as requested Assess, diagnose, and manage neurologic conditions in the inpatient setting Order and interpret appropriate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Document patient encounters, consultations, and treatment recommendations in the electronic medical record Respond to hospital-based neurologic emergencies as needed Maintain effective communication with attending physicians, nursing staff, hospital personnel, patients, and families Work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure timely and appropriate patient care Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with DEA and CDS licenses or eligibility required.
