Senior Associate

Talisman

I'm partnering with a leading energy company that's expanding its quantitative analytics team and is looking for a Senior Associate focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Modeling & Structuring

This is an opportunity to build and enhance advanced quantitative models that support:

Battery storage dispatch optimization
Power market forecasting (DA, RT, Ancillary Services)
Structured products pricing
Gas generation optimization
Renewable energy analytics
Trading, origination, and asset management decisions

What they're looking for:

3+ years of quantitative modeling experience
Strong Python programming skills
Experience with optimization tools (Gurobi, CPLEX, PuLP, etc.)
Machine learning/deep learning experience (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras)
Knowledge of stochastic modeling and forecasting
Understanding of wholesale power markets (ERCOT, CAISO, or other ISOs)
Experience with xhyhwjd BESS, renewables, or conventional generation is highly preferred

Preferred:

Master's or PhD in a quantitative field
