Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate:
$25–$38 per hour, based on experience

Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys handling litigation and employment law matters in Poughkeepsie, NY. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and experienced in a fast-paced legal environment.
The Paralegal will assist with case preparation, legal drafting, document management, court filings, and communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Paralegal Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys through all stages of litigation and employment law matters, from intake through trial preparation
• Draft, edit, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research related to employment law, labor issues, and case strategy
• Maintain case files, organize records, and track important deadlines
• Coordinate scheduling and communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Prepare materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial
• Review, organize, and manage discovery documents and records requests
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant required
• Experience in litigation, employment law, or labor law preferred
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred
• Strong understanding of legal procedures, court filings, and document preparation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team
