Medical Director Of The Pediatric Liver Transplant Program

Cohen Children's Medical Center, part of Northwell Health, is seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Hepatologist to serve as Medical Director of its Pediatric Liver Transplant program. This role offers the opportunity to lead a comprehensive program at the forefront of pediatric hepatology, providing care for children with transplant and non-transplant liver diseases. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team within a large academic Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, with an academic appointment at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.Practice InfoMultidisciplinary team includes medical and surgical specialists, advanced pediatric biliary endoscopy, pediatric and liver pathologists, pediatric and interventional radiology, nursing, and social work.Joining a large academic Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition with a well-established Pediatric Hepatology program.Opportunity to be the founding Medical Director of an active pediatric transplant program.Collaboration with a highly successful adult liver transplant center.The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition includes 16 full-time faculty members as well as an ACGME approved Fellowship program.The Division includes a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, advance practice nurses, dieticians and social worker.CompensationCompetitive salary.Academic appointment at the Zucker School of Medicine.Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners.Appointment at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate, Professor or Professor will be provided, commensurate with experience, training, academic portfolio, and teaching activities.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package.Access to state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities.Supportive and collaborative work environment at a premiere Children's Hospital.RequirementsBoard certification in both Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.At least 5-10 years of experience in an active pediatric liver transplant program.Proven track record of clinical and research excellence.Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
