Customer Success Associate

The Customer Success Associate supports the creation and execution of client-facing engagement campaigns for Data Protocol. This includes drafting campaign content and building programs such as email drip campaigns, in-product messaging, activation programs, and other lifecycle communications.

This role requires strong writing ability paired with operational execution. The Customer Success Associate translates strategic direction into structured, high-performing communication programs – building, testing, and configuring campaigns inside client systems.

All written content must be engaging, concise, and aligned with both Data Protocol’s standards and each client’s unique voice. The role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to move quickly from concept to launch.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of senior staff:

• Participate in client-facing conversations to gather context and understand campaign goals
• Translate client priorities and product use cases into clear, engaging campaign messaging
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams about campaign status, questions, and next steps
• Draft, revise, and execute email drip campaigns, activation sequences, and lifecycle messaging programs based on established strategy and client goals
• Build and configure campaigns within client platforms, including segmentation, scheduling, and automation requirements
• Collaborate with designers to create email templates and other creative assets that align with campaign objectives
• Create and deploy in-app messaging, banners, and other engagement elements as part of broader activation initiatives
• Test campaigns and in-product experiences to ensure accuracy, clarity, and correct technical configuration prior to launch
• Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders and clients efficiently and accurately
• Research product features and customer use cases to inform campaign messaging
• Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics – collaboratively making tactical adjustments to improve engagement and activation outcomes
• Ensure all content aligns with established tone, style, and client brand voice
• Proofread and edit campaign materials for clarity, consistency, and grammatical accuracy
• Support the larger Content Development team with additional project work as necessary

Requirements

• Comfort communicating with clients in a professional, clear, and responsive manner
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions, synthesize feedback, and translate client needs into actionable campaign work
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines – surfacing risks as necessary
• Comfort collaborating with designers and cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining accuracy and consistency
• Creativity in campaign building, content development, and problem solving
• Experience writing and executing user engagement content (email campaigns, social media campaigns, etc.) is preferred, but not required
• Experience working within marketing automation platforms or in-product messaging tools is preferred, but not required
