Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Expected to work some holidays and weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, rotating between Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit assignment
• Care for patients presenting with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to various units in rotation with staff in accordance with facility floating policies and Joint Commission standards
• Complete required onboarding and annual modules via the Relias/Net Learning portal (non-billable, approximately 4–8 hours)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years of IMC experience in a hospital setting required
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD required — no exceptions
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are not accepted for this role)
• Experience managing high-acuity patients including those in septic shock or with cardiac emergencies
• Familiarity with Relias or Net Learning compliance platforms
