Job Description
OB Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced OB Registered Nurse with MedSurg experience to join our team. This position involves working in a small rural Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both obstetrics and medical-surgical nursing, as responsibilities may include working more MedSurg than OB, depending on needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in both the OB and MedSurg units.
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio for OB and a 1:3 patient ratio for MedSurg.
• Utilize CPSI/Perigen charting systems effectively.
• Occasionally may take charge duties as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or Multistate.
• Minimum of 1 year of OB and MedSurg nursing experience.
• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) is preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Certification, and NRP (all must be via AHA).
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.

Additional Information

• Shift: 1745-0600, flexibility in both OB and MedSurg duties.
• Scrubs: Any color scrubs are acceptable.
• Flu vaccine is strongly preferred, with religious and medical exemptions accepted; those with exemptions may be required to wear masks during flu season.
