Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Per Diem ED Physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Seattle, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Emergency Medicine cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group. To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Per Diem Physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex ED patients, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. This is a PRN position based at Virginia Mason Medical Center, a 336 bed Level II trauma facility in downtown Seattle. Shifts are 8-10 hours in length VMMC annual ED volume is 24,000 Admission rate is 28% 24,000 annual visits in a moderate-acuity urban ED Exceptional specialty support for seamless patient care. Comprehensive Stroke Center with onsite Neurohospitalists. Regional Hyperbaric Medicine Referral Center, offering unique clinical exposure. Job Requirements Required Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Emergency Medicine Residency training Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine Active or eligible license in the state of Washington Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families Where You'll Work Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
