Special Education Teacher in Forest Lake, MN

Key Qualifications: Must hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification. Experience working with students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across multiple grade levels is highly desirable. Ability to quickly adapt teaching strategies to fit various classrooms and student needs. Comfortable covering both planned teacher absences and unanticipated call-outs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills. Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with their IEPs. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment during the duration of coverage. Collaborate with on-site educators and support staff to ensure continuity of care and instruction. Accurately report on student activities, attendance, and any notable incidents during assignments. Be available for on-call assignments from Monday through Friday, as needed by the district. Flexibility to cover short-term assignments, whether scheduled in advance or same-day. Additional Details: You will only be compensated for the hours worked when you are called in by the district.
