Commercial Chiller Service Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview:
We're seeking a Commercial Chiller Service Technician in Central Coast, CA to support and grow commercial mechanical operations across the region.

Impact:
- Keep mission-critical chiller plants running through preventive service and rapid repair.
- Reduce downtime for healthcare, data center, and commercial customers across the region.
- Deliver clean diagnostics and reports that help owners plan capital projects.
- Mentor junior techs and raise the bar on safety and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:
- Service centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating chillers from York, Carrier, Trane, and other major OEMs.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on water-cooled and air-cooled equipment.
- Perform eddy current testing, oil analysis, vibration analysis, and tube cleaning as required.
- Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant per EPA standards.
- Document service calls accurately in the work-order system.
- Coordinate with dispatch and project managers on emergency calls and planned outages.
- Train apprentices and Level I/II technicians on safe field practices.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and service vehicle in clean working order.
