Quality InspectorReports to: Quality ManagerDuties & TasksPerform routine quality audits throughout the production facilityPerform in-process inspections on production floor, including first-piece and last-piece inspectionsPerform dimensional layout inspection as requiredPerform quality-related training for employeesPerform receiving inspection and random dock auditsPreform calibration activities occasionally to verify specificationsFollow all policies and proceduresVisit suppliers and customers as requiredSort product for quality defects as requiredProvide back-up coverage for other quality positions as neededPerform other duties as assigned by senior quality engineer or quality managerUnderstanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)SkillsMonitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, to make improvements or take corrective action.Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Problem Solving – Generating alternatives.
