Civil Construction Assistant Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Foreman to join our team! You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating field construction activities on civil infrastructure projects. This position leads construction crews, coordinates subcontractors, ensures work is completed safely and in accordance with plans and specs.

Required Experience

7+ years of heavy equipment operating for a civil construction company
Desire to want to become a foreman/superintendent
Experience with storm drainage pipe installation, earthwork, stone base work, lime stabilization
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, equipment, and materials.
Ability to learn how read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Knowledge of OSHA and jobsite safety requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license.

We are a Baton Rouge-based civil contractor that self-performs site preparation, earthwork, underground utilities, soil stabilization, foundations, paving, and structural concrete. We work in and around the Baton Rouge areas. Typically within a hour of Baton Rouge.
