GIS MapperGenesis10 is currently seeking a GIS Mapper for a contract position with a Major Utility Company located in Somerset, NJ. This is a 24+ month contract opportunity. Pay Range: $19.40 - $29.40 per hour based on experience. This role involves working on assignments related to recording and producing information for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric utility systems. The successful candidate will maintain the GIS connected model, perform data analysis, and prepare reports, tabulations, charts, and maps based on asset information.Primary Responsibilities:Maintain the GIS connected model with information from sources including, but not limited to, work management systems, as-built construction drawings, work orders, completion records, and field reportsPerform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, tabulations, charts and maps from asset informationProduce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requestsMaintain service point data and the relationship to feeding source transformerTrack lifespan of utility asset data, including history, inspection and attachmentsResolve conflicting data, mapping, connectivity, and land issues through office or field investigationPerform GIS work pertaining to major projects such as facility relocations, load rearrangement and new businessOperate automated office equipment including printers, plotters, duplication machines, and scannersPerform manual or computer aided draftingOperate a car or light truckAssist other employees in plant work, in the field, or in the officeRequirements:1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related)Ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of the business applications, materials, and equipmentKnowledge of Transmission and Distribution systemsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New JerseyComputer skills in MS Office and other Windows applicationsAble to work at various locations based on business needs/workloadDesired Skills:Experience with MicroStation or AutoCADOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
