About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour and Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operating room setting. Candidates should be familiar with the Epic charting system. Travelers must have experience in orthopedic trauma, craniotomy, and trauma level II. Call requirements include two weeknights every six weeks and one weekend Saturday and Sunday every month and a half. This position will not accept local candidates from within a 75-mile radius. Maximum 7 total days of requested time off during the 13-week assignment. Strong scrub experience is preferred. Candidates must provide two professional references. A manager reference from a position held within the last year is also required. Candidates should be prepared to work with diverse patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Experience with special procedures and equipment is advantageous. Candidate must be willing to adhere to facility policies and procedures.
