Overview: August Brook is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to act as the primary bridge between potential clients and August Brook. In this role, you will be the engine behind our growth—actively seeking out paid client opportunities, managing initial outreach, and handling all upfront communications. Your ultimate goal is to identify high-quality leads, nurture them, and seamlessly schedule them into consultation slots so they can meet with the owner to determine fit. Key Responsibilities Actively research, identify, and prospect potential paid clients (businesses, models, brands, or individuals) that align with August Brook’s aesthetic and target audience. Execute strategic outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant professional channels. Pitch August Brook’s services effectively, highlighting our unique value proposition to turn cold or warm leads into qualified prospects. Follow up consistently with leads to maintain engagement and move them through the sales funnel. Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming inquiries and outbound responses. Vet potential clients through initial messaging to ensure they meet basic criteria (budget, project alignment, and timeline). Manage the owner’s calendar, handling all scheduling for discovery calls, consultations, and intake meetings. Send professional confirmation emails, meeting reminders, and brief pre-consultation questionnaires to ensure meetings are productive. Maintain a clean and organized system (CRM, spreadsheet, or project board) to track lead status, communications, and upcoming follow-ups. Gather feedback from the owner post-consultation to refine targeting and outreach strategies. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, client relations, or account management (experience in creative industries, photography, or agency environments is a major plus). Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to write compelling, professional, yet warm outreach messages that represent the brand beautifully. Organization: Highly organized with bulletproof calendar management skills. You don't let details slip through the cracks. Drive: A hunter mindset when it comes to finding new clients, combined with the emotional intelligence required for relationship-based sales. Tech Savvy: Familiarity with scheduling tools (like Calendly), Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and social media platforms for sourcing leads. What We Offer Competitive Performance-Based Compensation: Flexible contract structure featuring a base rate/stipend plus $100 commission/bonuses for successfully closed client contracts. Up to 5-10 hours per week Monday-Friday, sometimes will spread out the hours into weekends if needed.
