Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients and develop tailored treatment plans that address both short-term and long-term rehabilitation goals. Implement hands-on therapy, which includes therapeutic exercises, stretching techniques, and manual treatment to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously using our electronic health record system, ensuring all treatments and responses are accurately tracked. Regularly reassess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback, incorporating new therapeutic goals as needed to ensure optimal recovery. Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques, usage of assistive devices, and self-care methods to empower them in their recovery process. Stay informed on the latest developments in physical therapy by attending workshops, reading relevant literature, and participating in professional associations. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patients range from children to adults, with various diagnoses including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each patient. This role not only focuses on physical rehabilitation but also emphasizes emotional support and building trusting relationships with patients and their families. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in electronic health record software and basic computer applications. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the various needs of patients and the schedule of the Rehabilitation Center. A valid CPR certification to ensure patient safety in all scenarios. Preferred Experience A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a background in home health care or outpatient settings being preferable. Completion of advanced training or specialization in therapeutic techniques, equipment utilization, or pain management will be advantageous. An understanding of current best practices in physical therapy and a desire to implement innovative treatment methodologies.
