Associate Director, Corporate Communications

Disc Medicine seeks an Associate Director of Corporate Communications to lead messaging strategy across internal and external channels at this clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. The role encompasses press release development, media relations, website management, social media oversight, and coordination of product launch communications with commercial and regulatory teams. Based in Watertown, MA with hybrid flexibility, the position requires cross-functional collaboration to maintain consistent corporate narrative for diverse stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities
- Develop and distribute external communications materials including press releases and corporate presentations
- Support product launch communications strategy in coordination with commercial, medical, and regulatory teams
- Manage social media channels and maintain corporate website with regular content updates
- Monitor industry news and competitive landscape, reporting trends and coverage to leadership
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and respond to journalist inquiries
Requirements
- Experience in corporate communications or public relations within life sciences or biotech
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communications strategies across multiple channels
- Strong writing and editing skills for diverse audiences and formats
- Experience managing media relationships and handling press inquiries
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in healthcare communications
