Respiratory Therapist

Provides specialized respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients in critical care settings, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient safety. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services in high-acuity environments.

Responsibilities:

• Administer invasive and non-invasive respiratory therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, adjusting procedures as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all clinical interventions, assessments, and patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio RRT license in hand.
• Possess NBRC certification, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS certifications, all active and in hand.
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in Pediatric, PICU, or NICU (Level 4) settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, pediatric airway management, and critical care protocols.
• Have experience working within high-level care environments and floating to various NICU and PICU units.
• Clear background check with no license or compliance hits; completion of fingerprinting is required.
