We are currently in search of a committed full-time Staff Physician (Allergy) to enhance our team at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled professional, enthusiastic about working in allergy and immunology clinics, and dedicated to serving a diverse group of veterans facing complex allergic and immunologic challenges, all within a collaborative environment.

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Academic Affiliations: Our facility collaborates with Wake Forest University School of Medicine/Baptist Medical Center and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech University.
• Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increments.
• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for CME.
• Retirement: Traditional federal pension (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401K plan with contributions up to 5% from the organization.
• Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options (many federal insurance plans can be continued into retirement).
• Licensure: Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
• CME: Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year for continuing medical education.
• Malpractice Coverage: Liability protection with tail coverage included at no cost.
• Contract: No Physician Employment Contract required, and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
• EDRP Authorized: Participation in the Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment).
• Recruitment Incentive: A sign-on bonus may be available for exceptionally qualified candidates.

• U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
• Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is mandatory.
• Licensure: Candidates must have a current, complete, and unrestricted medical license to practice in a U.S. state, territory, or Commonwealth, or in the District of Columbia.
• Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty is required.
• Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Allergy and Immunology.
