We are hiring for a Pet groomer that loves their job working with pets and clientele. Doggo Den offers monthly memberships, where you will see the same clients and pets on a monthly basis. We also offer and single visits as well. Voted Best Of Bradenton 5 Years running! We are a growing salon with a mom and pop feel. Flexible schedules (morning, noon & early evening), unlimited vacation & time off with 60 day notice. Most holidays the shop is closed, including the whole week from Christmas to New Years. We are hiring for this upcoming Season From October-May Part Time or Full Time with potential to stay on, the upcoming year. We DO NOT demat dogs here. We are a demat free salon and S.A.F.E Salon through the AKC. A bathing assistant is available, but groomers are required to also wash and blow dry their pets when available. We are a small salon thats drama free and motivated to to help others grow in this industry.

Requirements:

Must be able to work SATURDAYS

Must be able to properly bathe and perform the basic necessities for care with a pet. (Nail trims/grinding, ear cleaning/plucking, teeth brushing/cleaning, anal gland expression)

Must be able to blow dry standing or sitting

Must be able to lift at least 50 Pounds

At least 2 years experience in the industry

At least 1 year pet grooming

Must be able to groom a minimum 4 Dogs within 7hrs

Knowledge of breed standards, styling, Clipper combs, lengths.

Must have Reliable transportation

"Willing to work as a team within the salon" (No one is a solo groomer, we assist each other, answer phones and clean together)

References:

MUST provide prior work experience!!! We will be calling references. We will not accept any prior misconduct in a salon to a person or animals (animal abuse). We will not tolerate any kind of verbal or physical abuse to clientele, staff or pets.

What to expect: 

Over the phone interview: We will be asking multiple questions. 

In person interview: Please bring your resume and photos of your prior work done in the past as well as references.

1-2 week evaluation: During this time we will setup days where you will come in and work on different pet breeds. You will need the basic knowledge of pet grooming, breed standards, handling techniques, etc. 

Compensation:

We are W2 and offer Hourly based pay. Pay is determined during your a1-2 week performance evaluation. We take into consideration the Quality of your grooming, the Length in time it takes for you to get a pet done, ranging in pet sizes. As well as how long you have been in the industry, experience in a salon as an employee, management etc. Pay per hour can range from $20 Hour - $25 Hour starting. Pet groomers receive %100 of their tips. Tips can range between $100-$350 or more in season. Employees that stay with the company get additional pay each year regardless of an increase in dogs.
