As a Security Officer Baggage Inspector in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support access points with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible, complete routine patrols, and assist with security-related concerns while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or other items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and reporting protocols.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited items, and/or policy violations at designated screening areas.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, operational concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
