Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Gastroenterologist to become a part of our expanding Division of Gastroenterology as a full-time Gastroenterology Hospitalist. This is a remarkable chance to join a well-established team at a prominent tertiary care facility and Level I Trauma Center, all while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in one of the most sought-after cities in the Southeast.

• Become a member of a collaborative team consisting of 9 gastroenterologists.
• This role is exclusively focused on inpatient Gastroenterology Hospitalist duties.
• Enjoy a schedule of seven days on followed by seven days off.
• Your responsibilities will include inpatient consultations and endoscopic procedures only.
• Receive support from a second gastroenterologist and three GI Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during weekdays.
• One GI APP will assist with weekend rounding (half-day on Saturday and Sunday).
• Handle an average of 10-15 new consults and perform 4-8 procedures daily.
• Skills in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) are appreciated but not mandatory.
• Advanced endoscopy services are provided by three dedicated colleagues in that specialty.
• Access to a dedicated inpatient endoscopy suite with complete anesthesia support.
• Opportunity to educate medical students, family medicine residents, and internal medicine residents.
• Hospital leadership is dedicated to establishing a Gastroenterology Fellowship Program in the future.
• Applicants must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
