Night shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, 5 days a week.

Job Description

As a Medical Laboratory Technician specializing as a generalist, you will work in the laboratory unit of Paris Regional Medical Center, a 154-bed facility recognized for its trauma, stroke, orthopedic, and chest pain care capabilities. The laboratory is equipped with various types of laboratory equipment, including transitioning from Vitek to Microscan. You will be responsible for a range of general laboratory tests in the areas of chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general laboratory testing including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and basic Microbiology.
• Perform send-out testing and collaborate with staff for effective laboratory operations.
• Assist in the transition and validation process from Vitek to Microscan.
• Utilize Meditech for documentation and maintain accurate patient records.

Required Experience

• MT or MLS credential and generalist experience in a laboratory setting.
• Extensive experience in Microbiology and send-out testing.
• Proficient in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and basic Microbiology procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

Current MT/MLS certification required.
