Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A tractor-trailers) to transport paper products, raw materials, and finished goods to regional distribution centers and client locations.
• Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to verify brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels are functioning safely.
• Secure and monitor large cargo loads, ensuring proper weight distribution and alignment within the trailer to prevent damage during transit.
• Navigate designated local and regional routes efficiently while strictly adhering to all DOT, state, and federal highway regulations.
• Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records, driver logs, delivery paperwork, and bills of lading using standard fleet software.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch coordinators, warehouse staff, and customers to report route timelines or transit delays.
• Adhere to strict on-site plant safety protocols during drop-and-hook operations or live loading and unloading sequences.

Qualifications & Special Requirements:

• Must possess a valid, unexpired Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• This is a mid-level driving position, so we are seeking candidates who bring 2 to 4 years of commercial driving experience, ideally with dry van or heavy manufacturing freight.
• Must hold a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card or be able to successfully pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Solid understanding of DOT compliance rules, hours-of-service (HOS) regulations, and trip-planning logistics.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Strong professional work ethic, excellent spatial awareness, and a proven track record of reliable, accident-free driving performance.
