Registered Nurse - Paramedic - Emergency Services 06/12/2026 Contract Active Job Description: Job Summary The Registered Nurse - Paramedic - Emergency Services position is responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency medical care and patient transport services. This role delivers high-quality patient care in emergency and transport settings while supporting a variety of operational and patient transportation needs. Key Responsibilities Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and patient assessment. Perform intravenous (IV) insertion as clinically indicated. Administer medications in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice. Ensure safe and effective patient transport across assigned service areas. Support Behavioral Health Transport operations as needed. Operate within wheelchair van or Basic Life Support (BLS) transport services based on daily staffing and transport requirements. Maintain compliance with all certification, licensure, and continuing education requirements. Adhere to organizational policies, clinical standards, and safety protocols. Required Qualifications Minimum of one year of full-time active pre-hospital care experience or equivalent. Minimum of two years of satisfactory driving experience meeting established insurance requirements. Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Flexible, collaborative, and team-oriented approach. Must possess and maintain North Carolina Paramedic Certification. Must maintain all required continuing education (CE) requirements. Preferred Qualifications Boarded with the Buncombe County Medical Director.
