Overview ERP International, LLC is seeking Certified Medical Assistants for full-time positions supporting Naval Medical Center San Diego and surrounding clinics. Position Locations EASTLAKE Primary Care KEARNY MESA Primary Care MIRAMAR Primary Care NASNI Primary Care NAVBASE Primary Care PT LOMA Primary Care NMCSD Internal Medicine NMCSD Pediatrics NMCSD Orthopedics Responsibilities Schedule: Monday - Friday 0600-1800 - 8.5 hour shifts. No Holidays or Weekends. Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival. Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed. Check patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading. Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form. Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered. Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms. Complete lab and x‑ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies. Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check‑in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released. Additional Duties for Internal Medicine / Pediatrics Operate medical equipment such as Automatic and Manual Blood Pressure Monitors, Handheld Nebulizer, EKG machine, Electronic Thermometer, and IV infusion pump (setup only). Operate and manipulate automated systems such as MHS Genesis and CarePoint; maintain DOD email account and respond to message center, email, and voicemail communications. Assist providers with invasive or non‑invasive examinations or procedures. Administer oral medications, subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections, immunizations and nebulizer treatments after required training and competency demonstration. Record medications administered and report any reaction. Perform venipuncture for blood draws and IV access after training. Monitor IV therapy and discontinue as directed. Monitor patients undergoing procedures and identify acute distress or potential acuity changes; report problems requiring higher‑level intervention to the credentialed provider. Additional Duties for Orthopedic Function as a clinical support team member embedded within the Maxillofacial Surgery service and the Center of Excellence in Maxillofacial Restoration. Support the NP and Maxillofacial Surgery providers during outpatient clinics, inpatient care activities, and procedural encounters. Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, and relevant clinical information. Assist with clinic flow, patient throughput, and preparation of examination and procedure rooms. Perform basic clinical tasks within scope of training and institutional policy, including wound care assistance, dressing changes, suture removal when authorized, and specimen handling. Prepare patients for procedures and assist during minor procedures as directed by licensed providers. Coordinate scheduling, referrals, imaging, laboratory studies, and follow‑up appointments in cooperation with the NP and clinical team. Support documentation workflows, including completion of forms, scanning records, and EHR‑related tasks. Facilitate communication between patients, providers, residents, nursing staff, and ancillary services. Assist with patient education, discharge instructions, and care coordination under provider direction. Maintain clinic organization, equipment readiness, and supply inventory. Support quality, safety, and operational initiatives related to the Center of Excellence. Uphold patient privacy, infection control standards, and institutional policies at all times. Qualifications Degree: Certificate Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces. Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a Certified Medical Assistant. Certification: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration by the American Medical Technologists. Security: Must pass a Government background check/security clearance. Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
