HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Coordinator Health Safety and Environment San Antonio , Texas Direct Hire Jun 1, 2026 GridSource, Inc is seeking an HSE Coordinator in the San Antonio, TX area. As the HSE/DOT Coordinator, you will be responsible for enforcing a compliant-driven culture by: establishing compliance procedures for OSHA,DOT, FMCSA and all other related compliance requirements including electronic driver logs, vehicle inspection and maintenance reporting. Administrative duties include: tracking of employee training and certifications, assistance with onboarding new employees, and maintenance of EHS, Geotab, and other third party safety compliance portals. Performance and behavior during all activities must be compliant with Gridsource’s values. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Facilitate HSE/DOT-related training for new hire employees to include drivers; manage where appropriate to maintain compliance across both fronts. Conduct and facilitate HSE/driver training for existing employees. Work with Corporate and local management on accident/incident investigations and reports of employee injuries and vehicular incidents. Work with third-party vendors that maintain all printed and electronic driver qualification files, medical files, and compliance files in a secure and confidential manner. Conduct periodic self-auditing of all DOT driver qualification files and records to ensure compliance. Manage driver safety performance and DOT drug/alcohol history verification process. Involved in major HSE/DOT Associations and keeping management informed of new regulations. Evaluate, change, update safety orientations as well as daily employee turnouts. Participate in the safety training of drivers whenever possible. Coordinate with the Director of HSE to ensure pragmatic, preventative safety measures are in place to mitigate dangerous behavior. Required Skills Language Skills – ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operations instructions and policies/procedures; ability to write reports and simple correspondence and effective communicate/present information to groups of coworkers, customers or employees. Advanced Math Skills – ability to apply mathematical concepts such fractions, ratios, percentages and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Skills – ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; ability to solve practical problems quickly and efficiently. Basic mechanical aptitude. Computer knowledge and proficiency with Windows and MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Required Knowledge DOT/Hazmat Regulations. CFR49 and FMSCA familiarity. Electrical Safety. Traffic Control Awareness. The performance of this position will require exposure to wellsite locations, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to respond to calls 24 hours/day seven days/week. This position will require travel mainly weekly/biweekly. Required Education and Experience Associate’s Degree in HSE or related field. Four to six years’ related experience or training. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Certified and qualified trainer in PEC and other HSE topics preferred. Certified Train the Trainer for bucket truck operations.
