About the Role:
CardioClinic in Sugarland, TX is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic cardiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while growing your career in a specialized, fast-paced clinical environment.
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and cardiology procedures
- Record and update patient medical histories, vitals, and EHR documentation
- Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, ABIs, Treadmill stress test, heart monitor placements, and vital sign measurements
- Prepare and room patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow
- Administer medications and injections as directed by supervising physicians
- Coordinate lab orders, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) credential preferred
- 3+ year of clinical medical assistant experience, cardiology experience a plus
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical documentation
- Experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered bedside manner
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume clinical setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
