Description: The Registered Nurse is a professional who provides safe and competent quality care to a designated group of patients. The nurse delivers patient care by applying nursing theory and research. Assessment and evaluation of patient care needs are crucial responsibilities. Critical thinking skills are utilized in patient care management. Relevant assessment and intervention skills are integrated into nursing care delivery. Collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams is essential in developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans. Prioritization of patient care activities includes teaching, coaching, and planning for post-hospital care. Patient and caregiver education helps ensure understanding of care plans and promotes health. Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members is important. Assignments are managed within the framework of Modified Primary Nursing, ensuring efficient resource allocation. The role involves modeling patient-centered care through various established protocols and practices. Patient values, preferences, and cultural diversity are considered in all aspects of care. A therapeutic relationship is established and maintained with patients and their families. Evidence-based practices are utilized to understand patients' perceptions of care.
