Western Illinois Home Health Care is hiring a Billing and Payroll Coordinator to support our growing healthcare team. This position plays a key role in payroll processing, medical billing, accounts coordination, and administrative support within a fast-paced home health environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and on schedule
Manage medical billing for private pay, insurance, and government programs (Medicare/Medicaid)
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and claim issues
Verify and track authorizations to ensure services align with approved care
Maintain accurate data entry, records, and documentation compliance
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely paperwork submission
Assist with accounts receivable, reporting, and general accounting functions
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in payroll, billing, or administrative support
Experience in healthcare billing, home health, or medical office setting preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry systems
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Knowledge of confidentiality standards (HIPAA preferred)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
Associate degree or higher preferred
